Dr. Paul W. Cates Recognized for Excellence in Education and Curriculum

OLIVER SPRINGS, TN, July 06, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Paul W. Cates, President of Faith Christian Ministries, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in curriculum development and instruction.
Dr. Cates is a pastor, educator and a leader in the home school movement. He also researches, publishes and writes in the field of education with emphasis on attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder. He has published several articles including 'A Christian Philosophy of Education' and workbooks for his homeschooling organization. He channeled his interest in the field of special education after attending a camp for handicapped children.
At Faith Christian Ministries, Dr. Cates manages operations including: hiring and firing, developing the curriculum, generating revenue, conducting assessments, executing individualized education programs and cognitive plans for individuals, training parents in homeschooling through seminars, overseeing applications, and assisting in the student evaluation process. A certified teacher in the state of Illinois, Dr. Cates formerly served as the Director of DePaul University's Psychology-Education Clinic, and its Graduate Program.
Dr. Cates earned a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Loyola University Chicago (1972), a Master of Arts in Special Education and a F.I.B.A. Honorary Degree from The International Biographical Centre. An associate member of The American Biographical Institute Research Association, a member of the American Security Council's National Advisory Board, and a member of the National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation, Dr. Cates attributes his success to his hard work, dedication and desire to work with children. He hopes to conduct research on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and continue educating people for the foreseeable future.
